Lovers of fine wines will be able to bid for some premium selections at the First Bali Wine Auction on December 11th 2011.

Sponsored by Lotus Food Services, the event will run from 15:00 until 18:00 local time and aims to raise money to promote wine education, an initiative that will be conducted by the local hospitality trade.

In total, 24 lots of fine wines, merchandise and luxury lifestyle items will be sold off during the event to the highest bidders, courtesy of brands and organisations such as Zwiesel, Hatten Wines, Singapore Airlines and St Regis.

The cost of entry to the wine auction is 250,000 rupiah (£17.70), which is inclusive of the auction itself and the preceding brown-bag wine tasting event running from 15:00 to 16:00.

Attendees will be able to taste samples of six refined flavours before heading out on to the auction floor.

The price of admission also includes a copy of the official auction catalogue and a chance to win one of a number of door prices, including a wine cooler worth $450 (£287.60).
