The contest is being sponsored in conjunction with the official launch of Chubby Girl Records. Sherrie Keys has launched Chubby Girl Records with the goal of not only featuring plus-size Gospel Music artists but as "a unique opportunity to positively influence plus-size consumers" with a new clothing line.
Keys believes that plus-size women deserve "fashion equality" and that the demographic has strong growth potential in an otherwise stagnant retail market. "We won't need couture robes when we get to heaven," Keys states, "but a few designer garments down here would be divine."
The contest kicks off November 1, 2008 and ends May 1, 2009. Official rules and an online entry form can be found on the Chubby Girl Records website.
