Ms Lim Lay Beng our new guest blogger has a wealth of experience, and specializes in
the field of Internal Medicine, Acupuncture and Orthopaedic Trauma, with special
focus on Metabolic Syndrome (high blood pressure, high Cholesterol, Diabetic and
obesity), Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Tumour and kidney. Ms Lim also
works with many patients suffering from reproductive endocrine issues, basic
infertility, menopause and osteoporosis. She is bilingual in Chinese and English.

Ms Lim is a qualified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Physician licensed by the
Singapore Ministry of Health TCM Practitioners Board. She graduated from Beijing
University of Chinese Medicine with a master degree in medicine (TCM internal
medicine). She has been to Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, and Nan Thong, learning
Chinese Medical Sympotomatology from renowned Chinese Physicians. During her
attachment to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and The China Nanjing
International Acupuncture Training Center, she had gained valuable knowledge in the
collaboration of TCM with western medical science towards the treatment of chronic
degenerative illnesses. Ms Lim had also participated in various international TCM
Symposiums. She has been invited by Singapore Tourism Board to conduct TCM seminars,
radio recording and press interviews overseas, to promote Singapore as a global
medical center and has received very high regards from the respective government
bodies. She has been specially featured in the media and television (such as China
Press in Malaysia, Strait Times in Singapore,Channel 8
〔草药101〕in Singapore) with her patients on TCM
interviews. In addition, she is the TCM consultant for The Sunday Times, Zaobao
〔Health 101 Wellness〕, Wanbao
〔名医堂〕, U-weekly 〔Healthcare〕 Shin
Min Daily News, Singapore Health News, new mum etc… to answer the readers’ TCM
questions. She conducted a number of seminars at the Singapore Society of
Occupational Health Nurse,National Library, Chinese Swimming Club.
