New partnership with INEA makes light work for sole agents

Released on: July 27, 2008, 11:51 pm

Press Release Author: Andrew Taylor

Industry: Law

Press Release Summary: With the property market badly hit by the December 2007 HIP legislation, UK agents are finding multi instructions being outwayed by sole instructions which means less instructions for all. Leading online legal documents provider Net Lawman has joined forces with the newly formed Independent Network of Estate Agents (INEA). The INEA / Net Lawman affilliation will help independent agents to increase the amount of listings on their books by sharing properties in their portfolio under traditional subbing methods, whislt addressing the fact that since December 2007 all residential sales properties must have accessable to HIP (Home Information Pack)

Press Release Body: Recognising the need for legal support and advice within the network, INEA has joined forces with law experts at Net Lawman to offer members exclusive discounts on legal documents and advice including tenancy agreements, formal notices, business property lease agreements, licenses and more.
According to INEA, the recent HIP legislation, which requires that the selling agent has to be able to give sight of the HIP to interested parties, has meant that the average agent is carrying just 12-15 properties.
\"INEA has enabled smaller agents to have access to many more properties than previously possible, but they will also be exposed to new and perhaps unchartered waters when it comes to the legal agreements they need concerning the sale or lease of properties\" said Miriam Taylor of Net Lawman.
\"The costs of drafting these documents on the high street can be extortionate. We\'ve teamed up with INEA because we recognise the importance of keeping legal costs to a minimum, particularly for smaller sole agencies where their margins on shared properties are less\" adds Taylor.
The INEA site, which launched last month, has over 15,000 overseas homes listed, all of which are shared properties that sole agents can add to their portfolio. INEA handles all of the administration associated with shared properties. Members simply select, download and print window cards for any properties on the system in a matter of minutes under their own branding via INEA\'s advanced templating process.
\"We launched INEA to improve the ability for agents and sub agents to share and earn off each other\'s properties in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Our partnership with Net Lawman reflects our commitment to helping our members to stay at ahead of the game whilst keeping their legal costs low\" says Trevor Mealham, CEO of INEA.
INEA members are eligible to receive an exclusive 20% of all documents from Net Lawman. For more information visit http://www.netlawman.co.uk?sc=1029. INEA membership is FREE for bona fide agents. Simply visit www.inea.co.uk
