Aliens landing at Buckingham Palace

Released on: July 22, 2008, 12:25 pm

Press Release Author: Book promotion

Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: An original story, written originally to be a play, “Space travelers land at Buckingham Palace” is the sort of book that will enchant children.

Press Release Body: Exciting, creative and thoroughly frantic and fast-paced, ‘Space Travelers Land at Buckingham Palace’ is also a very simple book, written to be easy understood and simply entertain kids.

Fresh from the planet Volpon a team of space travelers have come to our planet to experience the best that Britain has to offer. Dressed in brightly coloured clothes and, but for two robot twins, appearing as children, the happy bunch are all excited about experiencing British culture.
Astrid, clad in bright red, is the commander of the ship. She leads the group to London, where they touch down, much to her concern, in Buckingham Palace. Fortunately, using a clever Volponian invention, they are able to make the spaceship invisible and head out to explore England’s capital.
Travelling through space and even through time, the happy band of astronauts have much to learn but coming from a world far advanced to earth, have much to teach us. Astrid, Britina, Elliot, Melki, Jip and Zip are worthy heroes as they make many new friends and outwit cruel villains on their many adventures on the planet earth. They may even just be able to help save our planet from doom and destruction.

Peter Lancaster Walker gives a moral extra value to his story and has already gained a good place on many shelves in many children’s bedrooms. The writer has also produced around 30 plays and the book has been sold in schools in the UK with success.

‘Space Travelers Land at Buckingham Palace’ is a wonderful story told wonderfully well. With superb illustrations by Rama Dixit that “sell the book by themselves”, and a series of immensely entertaining adventures throughout its course, this book cannot fail to charm. An essential read for anyone with an imagination, you can be sure that this is not the last that we will see of Astrid and her colourful clan of fellow space travelers.
