Press Release Summary: Grenoble, France, April 16, 2008 – Itris Automation Square,
an independent software vendor offering highly innovative solutions for the
development of PLC programs, announced today the launch of PLC Metrics. This hosted
tool, available on Itris Automation Square extranet, allows automation engineers and
technicians to automatically analyze their PLC programs for free.

Press Release Body: PLC Metrics automatically analyses a PLC program and computes
metrics such as the number of rungs, I/Os and steps. It also determines its main
characteristics: the hardware configuration, the presence of grafcet (and its steps
and macros) or the presence of specific cards (communication, axis...). Results of
the analysis are computed online in a matter of seconds.

PLC Metrics provides automation engineers with valuable information to help them
anticipate and diagnose problems. PLC Metrics is a very good decision making tool
before a conversion: based on the results of the analysis, automation engineers are
able to predict the cost of the conversion and decide whether they should rewrite
the program. Finally, PLC Metrics is also a very good way to re-document a program
when the original documentation is no longer available.
