Got Clicks Partners with Brown and Jenkins Trading Company

Released on: April 2, 2008, 10:39 am

Press Release Author: Sarah Spencer, Got Clicks

Industry: Food & Beverage

Press Release Summary: “Coffee with a Conscience” uses new marketing firm to promote
“Grounds for Peace”

Press Release Body: Brown and Jenkins Trading Company has quietly made upscale
coffee in South Burlington, Vermont since 1984. Sandy Riggen and her husband, Rich
Williams, purchased the company 2 years ago and continue serving the same loyal
customers that have been a hallmark of the business since its inception.

The Iraq war hit the business personally when Riggen’s employee had a daughter
serving in Iraq. For the past year, Brown and Jenkins quietly donated coffee to the
troops stationed at the daughter’s post. When the daughter returned from duty,
Riggen still wanted to donate the coffee “it’s a little taste of home that’s so
important to morale, we didn’t want to just stop the program.” So Riggen reached
out to Sarah Spencer, the founder of Got Clicks and hatched the idea for “Grounds
for Peace.”

Brown and Jenkins will donate one bag of coffee to Iraq for every 3 bags of coffee
purchased during the month of April. Many community leaders have come on board
for this noble cause. The Busy Chef on Susie Wilson Road, in Essex Junction will
have bags of coffee for sale and a live radio broadcast on KOOL 105 will promote
“Grounds for Peace” on April 26th.

Opportunities Credit Union stepped up and made a donation to the cause. “It’s so
nice to see so many people step up and truly want to make a difference. Regardless
of your view of the Iraq war, I think we’re all in agreement that we’d like to see
our loved ones home safe and sound. ‘Grounds for Peace’ is a chance for our
community to show how much we care. I’m so glad to see Brown and Jenkins helping
to make it happen.”

“Grounds for Peace” continues through the month of April. If you’d like to purchase
coffee, you can visit www.brownjenkins.com and click on “Grounds for Peace” or stop
by The Busy Chef, Susie Wilson Road, Essex Junction. The bags are $24 plus tax.
