Splendid performance by Badshahs against the Lions

Released on: March 17, 2008, 11:11 pm

Press Release Author: Madan Sharma

Industry: Media

Press Release Summary: On the two-pronged pitch which saw the morning match too,
Badshahs won the toss and elected to bat.

Press Release Body: In another win by the Badshahs, we saw a great performance yet
again by the players of the team. This time the duty to light up the match was
righteously performed by Imran Farhat who scored 94 runs on just 54 runs. He was
declared Man of the Match for his fiery performance.

On the two-pronged pitch which saw the morning match too, Badshahs won the toss and
elected to bat. This seemed like a great idea as their performance in the earlier
matches had simply been outstanding. So any pressure from the beginning would do
them good. And this is how it exactly proceeded. Imran Farhat and Imran Nazir came
out to bat with oodles of confidence in them. A jump start was acquired with 10 runs
coming in the first over and this rate was only obstructed when the wicket of Nazir
was lost to Hall at the end of the sixth over. There is however no dearth of batsmen
in the Badshahs team and Humayun came in to join his brother. Fine tuning and great
frequency are the correct words for these duo and Imran hit sixes and fours, rotated
strike with Humayun. At the end of fifteenth over, Imran lost his wicket but the
impact had already been made. The following players also played fine except Latif
who could not score a run. 187 runs were made by the team at the end of 20 overs.

The team of Lions could not show much power and lost wickets very early. This is
what crippled them and the following players too could not show stability on the
field. Sharma, Singh, Mongia, Hall and Sarabjit managed to reach twenties and
thirties but that was not simply enough. Therefore the result was clear with
Badshahs emerging as well-deserving winners.
