nation, the cost of homes on the market has lowered. This could mean opportunity for

affordable homes for sale. Since lenders want to encourage consumers to purchase

appraisal to price the property rather than using an independent appraiser. In most
cases the bank does not want to own their property because it costs them tens of
thousands of dollars to foreclose, rehabilitate market and sell a property. Taking
less than what they are owed actually nets them more money in the long run and helps
you avoid the credit issues associated with a foreclosure.
