Cool Insuring began under a different name in Glens Falls, New York back in 1857 with a small line of fire and casualty insurance. It was a year later that Charles W. Cool was born, and in 1879 he bought the company along with his business partner Solomon W. Russell. At that point the name of the small business was changed to Cool Insuring Agency.
The growth of the company has been steady throughout the years, and Cool has become one of the largest and most successful corporate and small business insurance agencies in the industry.
