YOUCHOOSE NET SETS UP CAMPAIGN TO ASSIST IN SEARCH FOR STEVE FOSSETT

Released on: September 11, 2007, 12:58 pm

Press Release Author: YouChoose.net

Industry: Media

Press Release Summary: YouChoose.net members join campaign to review satellite
images – looking for signs of the missing adventurer

Press Release Body: Thornton, Pennsylvania --(September 10, 2007) – On Monday,
September 3, 2007, Steve Fossett, the first person to fly a plane solo around the
world without refueling and the first person to fly around the world in a balloon,
went missing in Nevada. An airplane he was flying failed to return. No one has any
idea where he is.

Through the generous efforts of individuals at several organizations, detailed
satellite imagery has been made available for his last known whereabouts.

That is how the “Help Find Steve Fossett” campaign on YouChoose.net begins.
“Already, thousands of people have taken advantage of today’s technology to join in
the search for Steve Fossett,” said Mike Dever, co-founder of YouChoose.net and
sponsor of the Help Find Steve Fossett campaign on YouChoose.net, “we wanted to do
our part to contribute to the search.”

The campaign on YouChoose.net provides a link to Amazon.com’s mechanical turk
service, where satellite pictures are presented of the area where Steve Fossett may
be. Viewers are invited to look at each picture and indicate whether or not they
see a potential sign of Steve Fossett, such as the airplane he was flying in at the
time he went missing.

“This is a perfect use of social networking and the YouChoose.net social network,”
said Mr. Dever, adding “YouChoose.net’s tag line is “Turning passions into actions.
Mobilizing our members to take action to find Steve Fossett is a great example of
what YouChoose.net is all about.”
